PBIS Award Matirx

The goal of our district is to ensure that each of our schools treats students fairly, equitably, is safe, and maintains an environment conducive to learning.

PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention Supports. PBIS is a school-wide system that aims to create a safe and effective learning environment for students by establishing positive student culture and individualized behavior supports. Skyline's behavior expectations that we focus on are being respectful, responsible, and safe. 

  • Achievement Criteria
    Following Skyline's Behavior expectations of being Respectful, Responsible, and Safe

    Award Description
    You can receive a Bear Grin from a staff member by following expectations and place them in a Bear Grin box in class.

    Frequency
    No limit.

  • Achievement Criteria

    Award Description
    Student's receive PBIS points when following expectations. The points can be spent at the PBIS store monthly.

    Frequency
    No limit.

  • Achievement Criteria
    Following the expectation that is taught in the weekly behavior lesson that is school-wide. 

    Award Description 
    Teachers from each class choose one student to be student of the week based  on the student who excelled at  the topic from the weekly behavior lesson that is school-wide. The students  earn an award certificate. 

    Frequency
    The award is given once a week.
